Cooking does not have to be hard! Try making these healthy, three ingredient recipes for you and your family to enjoy.
Breakfast Skillet
1 teaspoon oil
1 lb. ground turkey or ground beef
1 cup salsa
6 eggs
How to make- Heat oil and add ground meat. Cook until no pink is showing. Mix in salsa and cook until heated. Crack eggs over the skillet and cook until you please.
Tip- Add in any leftover vegetables for extra flavor.
Egg and black bean burritos
1 carton eggs
2 cans black beans
8 tortillas
How to make- Crack eggs into a large bowl and whisk. Cook eggs in a skillet for 5-6 minutes and set aside. Warm up beans and tortillas. Add cheese for flavor.
Pasta and broccoli
4 oz dry pasta
1 teaspoon olive oil (optional)
2 cup broccoli, fresh or frozen
3 oz cheese
How to make: Cook pasta according to package and strain. In a large skillet, heat oil and cook broccoli. Add seasonings and stir. Cook broccoli until tender. Add pasta and cheese and toss.
Rice, meat, and vegetables
Chili
With the weather getting cold, chili is a great and easy meal to make.
1 can chili beans
1 can diced tomatoes
1 pound ground beef
How to make- Mix meat, beans and tomatoes in a large pot. Bring it to a boil over medium heat, and then bring heat to medium low and simmer for 30 minutes. Add extra toppings like cheese and sour cream for flavor.
Taco and Lime Chicken
2 tablespoons taco seasoning
1/4 cup lime juice
1 pound chicken breasts
How to make- Mix the taco seasoning and lime juice, cover the chicken in the mixture and marinate for 30 minutes- over-night. Grill, bake, or pay-fry chicken over medium-high heat until cooked through (about 3-5 minutes per side). Slice and enjoy.
