How we help
When individuals or families in need reach out to us through our Help Line, St. Vincent de Paul volunteers visit them in their homes to determine how we can best support them in maintaining stable housing.
Offering assistance to individuals transitioning back into society after incarceration, which includes transportation pickup, support on their first day out, and career development services both before and after release.
For many families, their grocery budget is often stretched to its limit to make ends meet. Our focus is on offering nourishing food and essential household items with an open heart and a personalized approach.
There are five St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Stores located throughout Southwest Idaho to help you stretch your dollar. You can find high quality, low cost goods at all locations. Shop where it matters and support our organization.
We offer an Ada County helpline and a Canyon County helpline. We can help with utilities, rent, household goods, clothing,
and transportation. We believe that nobody should have to forego these necessities.
For 48 years, the St. Vincent de Paul Society has sponsored an annual Thanksgiving food box outreach program for those less fortunate. This is a family-to-family act of charity. Your family can share the tradition of Thanksgiving with families in need.
Each year, we open the Christmas Toy Store to families in need who cannot afford to purchase Gifts for their children in Ada and Canyon County, we provide gifts at no out-of-pocket cost to families with children ages 0-18 to shop at our Christmas Toy Store.
